The year 2022 is just a few weeks old. But already this short time has sought at Steam to set three records directly in a row. As the statistics of Steamdb.info show on Sunday, January 23, 2022, at 15:00 pm German time, for the first time more than 29 million users at the same time active to be exact: 29.201.174!
This is not only an impressive number, but also means a new record - the third within just three weeks. The first record of the year in this category came from 3 January: At that time, more than 27.9 million users were at Steam at the factory at the same time. But already a week later this record was history again: On January 9, it was for the first time more than 28 million active users (we reported). However, the most recent jump is particularly worth noting because the new record is about one million higher.
It remains to be seen how long the new record will still exist, because Steam still seems to be at the altitude flight. Incidentally, the statistics do not show how big the proportion of those users who have stopped at the time of the new peak in a game or other areas of the online platform.
